The Customs House

Local History and Contemporary Art

Museums of Eastern Funen and the Kerteminde Art Association present a programme of temporary exhibitions in Kerteminde’s old Customs House. Museums of Eastern Funen, for example, presents exhibitions about local history. Each year, there is also an exhibition organised  in collaboration with local archives in the municipality of Kerteminde.

The History of the Customs House

The Customs House  is one of the oldest buildings in Kerteminde. It was built by around 1590 by Niels Bager, a merchant from Odense, when Kerteminde served as a port city for Odense.
